In its annual World Energy Outlook on Tuesday, the IEA said in its central scenario – which reflects policy intentions and targets already announced – renewables are expected to overtake coal as the primary means of producing electricity by 2025.

The combined share of solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind in global generation will rise to almost 30% in 2030 from 8% in 2019, it said, with solar PV capacity growing by an average 12% a year.

When a buddy of Russ Elliott‘s asked if he’d join him in starting a telecom company, he flat out said no. While his friend had been a great help building a website he needed, the venture didn’t have any financial backing and Elliott wasn’t versed in internet connectivity.

But when his friend took the unusual step of sending him a motivational postcard — something with an iceberg and a corny message about not knowing what’s out there unless you took a risk — it played on his mind. Elliott had an MBA. He had drive. He decided to embrace the inspirational cliché.

With that, some 20 years ago Elliott helped launch what became a successful business in Colorado called Brainstorm Internet, serving as its president for 13 years.

“We were nimble and quick and had smart people on

Roguelike King Spelunky 2 at long last out now on PC

After an excruciating eight years, the sequel to one of if not the best roguelike game of all time has arrived. Spelunky 2 is now available on PC via Steam. Celebrating the momentous occasion, you can grab the game at an additional 10% launch discount until October 6th on Steam. Enjoy the launch trailer here!

How do you improve on perfection? That was the big question when fans started imagining what a hypothetical Spelunky 2 would be. Often cited among the best games ever, game designer Derek Yu delivered an all-time classic back in 2012 on the Xbox 360.

Despite achieving stellar success with subsequent ports to almost every gaming platform afterward, fans of the deceptively cute platformer wanted more. Not only more but even better. You see, while the original features endless replayability a myriad of questionable design decisions started shining through as time passed.

Spelunky 2 is not
