ASU master’s degree student earns AAAS fellowship researching sustainability in emerging technology

The Arizona State University Child Study Lab shifted its fall and winter curriculum to be an entirely online experience to help children learn the important skills that support a successful launch into elementary school and beyond, even during a pandemic.

“Parents are starting to see how challenging it is to engage their children and immerse them in learning materials at home without the interaction with other kids their age,” said Anne Kupfer, director of the Child Study Lab. “It is difficult to replicate the preschool experience while trying to juggle the normal stress of working from home.”

AAAS announces new Science Partner Journal: Journal of Remote Sensing

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) is pleased to announce the launch of a new Science Partner Journal, Journal of Remote Sensing, published in affiliation with the Aerospace Information Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Sciences (AIR-CAS).

The Journal of Remote Sensing‘s mission is to promote high-quality publications that benefit the earth observation community. The scope of the journal will focus on the theory, science, and technology of remote sensing, as well as interdisciplinary research with earth science and information science.

Professor Yirong Wu, Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, from the Aerospace Information Research Institute, will serve as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Remote Sensing. The Journal is currently open for submissions and will publish under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY).
