MINSK, 10 September (BelTA) – The sci-tech council has been set up under Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Mikhail Myasnikovich, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Committee on Science and Technology.
Aleksandr Shumilin, Chairman of the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus, took part in the first video conference of the council. Five issues were on the agenda, including prospects for the development of the Eurasian economic integration and cooperation in science and technology, operation of expert groups, preparation and implementation of interstate programs and innovation projects of the Eurasian Economic Union. Before the end of the year, the council is expected to discuss the draft interstate program “Integrated System of EAEU Member States for Production and Provision of Space and Geoinformation Services Based on National Earth Remote Sensing Data Sources”.
