Vivo IFEA Concept Smartphone With Detachable Camera Wins Red Dot Award

Smartphone manufacturers have been long trying to achieve all-screen design. And in this process, the Vivo concept smartphone IFEA with a detachable camera module has grabbed Red Dot Award.

Moreover, OEMs have somewhat achieved the all-screen design with the motorized pop-up camera module or flip camera mechanism, etc. But all boils down to the device’s durability.

However, Vivo’s concept phone dubbed as Vivo IFEA that has a modular camera system has won the Red Dot Design Award. Well, it is no denying fact that Vivo is always the front runner when it comes to smartphone innovation.

Vivo was the first OEM to bring under-display fingerprint technology, which was later adopted by other OEMs. And now once again, Vivo is stealing the limelight with its detachable or modular camera system.

As per the official award landing page, the Vivo IFEA is Vivo’s answer to provide new photography system experience on smartphones.

The world’s first successful identification and characterization of in vivo senescent cells

The world's first successful identification and characterization of in vivo senescent cells
The research team generate a p16-Cre ERT2 – tdTomato mouse model to uncover the in vivo dynamics and properties of p16high cells. Single-cell RNA-seq analyses of various tissues from early middle-aged p16-CreERT2-tdTomato mice reveal that p16high cells exhibit heterogenous senescence-associated phenotypes, while elimination of p16high cells ameliorates steatosis and inflammation in a NASH model. Cell senescence is a state of permanent cell cycle arrest that was initially defined for cells grown in cell culture. It plays a key role in age-associated organ dysfunction and age-related diseases such as cancer, but the in vivo pathogenesis is largely unclear.

A research team led by Professor Makoto Nakanishi of the Institute of Medical Science, the University of Tokyo, generated a p16-Cre ERT2 -tdTomato mouse model to characterize in vivo p16 high cells at the single-cell level.

They found tdTomato-positive p16 high cells detectable

The first smartphone with Android 11 out of the box will be the Vivo V20

Traditionally, the very first devices with the final version of the latest Android are Google Pixel smartphones. It was expected that this will be the case with the new Google Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, which will be announced today. But the Chinese Vivo decided to make a nice move with the release of the Vivo V20 model, out of the box running on the latest Android 11.

The press release states that “the V20 series will run on Android 11”, based on which one might think about the usual premature announcement of the brand about the future update of their devices to the current version of Android. But, the Vivo V20 has already fallen into the hands of Indonesian bloggers who have published a video of the unboxing.

On the settings screen, you can see that the smartphone is indeed running Android 11 (API level 30), effectively making
